Our story is rooted in a legacy of quality that goes back almost 100 years. My great-grandfather immigrated to America from Italy. In the decades that followed, both he and later my grandfather worked as craftsmen in the leather and shoe repair trade.
Before my grandfather (aka “Papa”) passed, I was able to work alongside him in his shop. Papa helped me to appreciate the value of quality leather and craftsmanship. His philosophy was “quality over quantity”.
Papa cared about creating something that would last.
Yet, as I looked at most belts on the market, I realized that quality was rare. Most stores would rather sell you a dozen junk belts rather than a single belt that would last. To carry on the DiPietro legacy, I launched I WANT A BELT.
I’m tired of junk: especially junk belts. Our belts are handcrafted with the highest quality, Italian-tanned leather we could find. Full-grain, bull-hides are the foundation of every single belt we make. Each belt you get from us is hand customized just for you. All of our belts will measure up to my belief that belts should be durable, comfortable, and fashionable. I WANT A BELT is carrying on a legacy of quality.
